tawa cake recipe | eggless tawa chocolate cake – no oven, no cooker cake with step by step photo and video recipe. cake recipes are always one of the liked and favourite dessert recipes all over the world. it is made with different sets of ingredients with a different set of cooking procedures including oven, cooker or no-bake cake. but there is another way of preparing a cake with tawa on a cooktop known as Tawa cake which can be attempted by everyone with the same taste and softness.
I always get a lot of requests for cake recipes prepared without an oven or some other alternatives. lately, I have stopped preparing cakes without an oven and most of them were using a pressure cooker. but preparing with a pressure cooker, even though it yields a good cake, may spoil it and may not be usable for other purposes. therefore, I had to use some other kitchen utensils and can’t be better than tawa pan. so basically, I used the same cake ingredients to prepare the cake batter and poured it on the Tawa pan to have a flat cake. on top of this, I have shown a basic chocolate-flavored icing that can be easily prepared in minutes and applied on top of it. but you may prepare 2-3 batches of this cake and apply the icing to prepare a layered or stuffed cake recipe.
furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variants to the eggless tawa cake recipes. firstly, I have specifically used a non-stick Tawa pan and used butter paper so that once the cake is prepared it can be easily separated. you may use other types of cooking pan, but I would not risk it with a cast iron Tawa. secondly, the cake has to be baked in low cooking heat with a properly sealed lid on top of Tawa. it has to produce the same baking oven effect with even temperature across the cake surface. lastly, apply the chocolate icing once the cake comes to room temperature. otherwise, it may start melting and may not get the desired shape. moreover, I have given a random shape which is more than sufficient for this cake, but if you wish, you can choose any other icing as you wish.

for eggless chocolate cake:
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp vinegar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup maida
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
for chocolate frosting:
- 1 cup cream
- ½ cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions

firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup milk, ¼ cup oil, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp vinegar and ½ cup sugar.
whisk and mix well making sure the sugar is dissolved completely.
add1 cup maida, 3 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp baking soda.
mix well using the cut and fold method.
add milk as required and prepare a smooth lump-free batter.
now grease the pan with butter and line with baking paper. make sure to grease the butter paper, so that you can peel it off easily after baking.
pour the prepared cake batter and pat twice to remove any air bubbles.
cover and place on very low flame for at least 30 minutes.
or cook until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
cool completely, and remove the butter paper.
how to makechocolate frosting:
firstly, in a large bowl take1 cup cream, ½ cup icing sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 tbsp cocoa powder.
beat on low speed until the cream thickens.
add 1 tbsp cocoa powder to make the rich chocolatey frosting.
continue to beat until the stiff peaks appear.
how to frost the cake:
once the cake is cooled completely, spread the frosting uniformly.
slice the cake to the shape of our choice.
finally, enjoy eggless chocolate tawa cake or refrigerate for 3 days.
