died at Nathan Miller Center for Nursing Care in White Plains 'yesterday He was 84 Mr Greiner was born Dec 9 1910 to Burt and Zora Grady Greiner in New York City His "family moved to White Plains in 1912 He attended public schools in 'White Plains and Cornell Univer sity in Ithaca NY After leaving Cornell in 1932 he earned his radio broadcast license He then spent several years working for US Army Sig nal Corps subcontractors where he helped develop walkie talkie transceivers and other radio communication equipment his family said In 1939 Mr Greiner became division service manager at Ampro Corp a manufacturer Of motion picture projectors and associated electronic equipment During World War II he was in charge of installation and maintenance of classified elec tronic equipment at various mili tary installations After the war he was a pro duction engineer for Temco Corp a communications equip ment manufacturer The compa ny was bought by Otis Elevator Co and Mr Greiner became production control supervisor for the division that produced the first flight simulator for the US Air orce 52 rom 1958 until 1975 when he retired he was employed by the Norden Division United Tech nologies He was a member of the Socie ty of Motion Picture and Televi sion Engineers In 1960 he and Alma Luhrs were married in Lake Carmel His wife died in October 1992 Mr Greiner was a parishioner at St Lutheran
